About Tom
Tom is an active performing musician in the Mankato area. With 36 years as a parochial school and public school band director Mr. Bierer brings a wealth of experience to his students. His primary instrument is Trumpet, however he is known as a multi - instrumentalist often covering all brasswinds, most woodwinds, guitar, bass guitar.
Tom is a sacred music composer with his own publishing company (pewmusic.com) and is a performing member of the following groups: The Ben Marti Jazz Trio, Southern Minnesota's Real Big Band, The Jazz10, The Dan Duffy Orchestra, The Armstrong Boulevard Brass Quintet, the Minnesota Riverbend Brass Choir, Bully Pulpit Bluegrass - (substitute guitar). Tom is an adjunct Trumpet instructor with studios at Martin Luther College in New Ulm and Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato.
