Lisa James

Nothing gives Lisa more joy than instilling a love of music in her students! Her goal is to establish a solid musical foundation in her students’ lives, creating a love for music that they can take with them regardless of their age and what they choose to be in the future. Her teaching approach blends a fun and relaxed atmosphere where students enjoy their lessons and the music that they play while having clear goals and desire to reach their highest potential.

 

Lisa’s piano career did not start until her youngest daughter expressed her interest in learning piano. While taking her to her own lessons for a year Lisa would often find herself wanting to have a lesson too! As a result, she decided that she was going to start taking lessons even as an adult proving that you can learn no matter your age! Having ten years of piano experience, Lisa’s love for piano has grown and has provided her with this tremendous opportunity to become an instructor!

Originally from New Ulm, Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mankato State University. After graduating she met her husband of 24 years. Together they have a blended family of seven kids. They love living in their country home south of Mankato where they both pursue their love for the outdoors surrounded by family and friends.
