Traditional Piano

About Kyle

Kyle is originally from Moorhead MN and is a recent graduate of Minnesota State University,
Mankato. He began taking piano lessons at the age of eight with Karol Zitzow. He then went on
to complete both his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Master of Music in Piano Performance at
MSU under the tutelage of Dr. David Viscoli. While at MSU, Kyle was a recipient of the Blethen
Fine Arts Award and was the runner up in the 2021 MMTA Young Artist Competition-College
Division.

While working on his master’s at MSU, Kyle worked as an accompanist for choirs and
individual students and was a tutor for the Musicianship courses. He tutored on a variety of
topics including keyboard skills, music theory, aural skills, and sight singing. Kyle continues to
work as a collaborative pianist for MSU and surrounding high schools.

Kyle is very excited to use his many years of education to cultivate students’ knowledge and admiration of music. He thinks that the most important and wonderful aspect of music is the process of sharing it with one another. He wants to assist students in gaining the confidence to share their music with others.
