Gail Carpenter

Voice & Choir

About Gail

Gail Carpenter is a professional vocal music teacher. She has taught vocal music classes in public schools K-12 and at colleges and universities. She has taught classes such as general music, music appreciation, choirs, It's Not OVER Until the Fat Lady Sings, and Mostly Mozart. Gail created the final two courses for graduate students and teachers for recertification credit. 

In public schools, she has directed many children's musicals. She has taught introduction to musical theater at Bemis Arts School at the Colorado Springs Arts Center and others. At Westfield High School, Gail taught voice lessons in small groups and presented them in concert. She has taught private voice in her home studio, the Carpenter Conservatory with joy and success.

At Widefield High School, she was hired to teach private voice lessons for all students entering solo and ensemble auditions. All of her students received a 1. Gail has a varied background in vocal music including being a professional singer. Now she looks forward to working with more students as a faculty member at the Southern Minnesota School of Music!
