About Abbey
Originally from New Ulm, Abbey Guggisberg is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) voice and is also experienced in teaching piano. She began taking piano lessons at 7 years old and became a multiple-time Minnesota Music Teachers Association piano contest winner and a participant in the MMTA Honors Concert. Her interests have expanded to now include administrative processes, non-profit organizations, and piano repair and technology.
Abbey earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Music at the University of Minnesota, Morris and graduated with a Masters in Teaching from MSU in 2023. During her time at MSU, she served as soprano section leader for the Concert and Chamber Choirs, as well as for the First Presbyterian Church Mankato Choir. Her interest in vocal music includes both solo and choral singing. Abbey's favorite part of teaching music is helping students achieve the goals they personally want to accomplish while laughing along the way. She believes that anyone has the ability to go from music appreciator to musician with regular practice and a positive mindset!
