About Madeline
A native of Mankato, MN, Madeline began her violin studies at age eight with SMSM’s own Patti Tryhus. She studied with Peter McGuire and Dr. Natalia Moiseeva in high school and while at Bethany Lutheran College and served as concertmaster for BLC’s chamber orchestra throughout her time there. She graduated with honors with a double bachelor’s degree in music performance and psychology in 2023.

Madeline enjoys playing with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra and various local chamber groups. She also loves to sing and play folk/bluegrass fiddle and guitar with her family. Having grown up with music as such an important part of her life, she is excited to now instill the importance and joy of music in her students! When not playing or listening to music, Madeline enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, and cooking. She lives in Mankato with her husband Alex.
