Welcome to Anja Scheidel's Musikgarten

We believe that all children have musical aptitude and early childhood is the opportune time to begin developing this potential in an active, joyful and developmentally appropriate way. We are nurturing this potential in Musikgarten classes by engaging children and their families in singing, playing instruments and movement activities to: attune the ear, refine their voice, and develop a rhythmic body through which music can be expressed.

"For children, their play is their work and work is their play. Early childhood music STUDY must be musical PLAY - informal, without pressure, including parents, with a strong emphasis on active participation in the musical experience. In early childhood, we learn to love music and thus lay the basis for formal musical study."

-Dr. Lorna Lutz Heyge, author, and founder of European-based Kindermusik and Musikgarten curriculums
